Planning a light trail, festival or exhibition?
Contact our team to discuss your project.Luminism creates immersive Light Art Installations, light trails, and outdoor exhibitions across the UK. Through our expertise, we design, build, and deliver large-scale illuminated experiences for festivals, attractions, heritage sites, and public spaces. As a result, we transform environments into unforgettable night-time journeys.
From enchanting Christmas light trails to bespoke interactive Light Art Installations, our in-house creative, technical, and production teams craft experiences that captivate audiences of all ages. Furthermore, every project is engineered to maximise visitor engagement, encourage social sharing, and boost footfall. In doing so, we help clients build meaningful connections with their audiences through light, sound, and interaction. Notably, we created the first Light Trail in the UK in 2006, read more on Our Story page.
Our Light Art Installations range from touring sculptures to one-off commissions for festivals and cultural events. Because every artwork is conceived, designed, and fabricated in-house, we can fully realise your brief. In addition, this approach balances creative vision with technical execution.
We combine artistic imagination with robust engineering. Consequently, each Light Art Installation is visually striking, safe, and reliable in outdoor environments. From kinetic sculptures and immersive tunnels to interactive light play zones, our installations are photogenic, shareable, and emotionally engaging. For examples, see our View Our Work page.
At Luminism, every project begins with understanding your goals. Whether you want to increase visitor numbers, create a landmark attraction, or deliver a one-night spectacle, we tailor our approach to meet your objectives.
The process starts with concept development and visualisation. Here, ideas are shaped into compelling narratives and immersive designs. Project managers and designers visit the location to gain a full understanding of the space, both creatively and operationally. Next, we move into detailed technical design and engineering, ensuring each installation is visually striking and structurally sound. Fabrication and testing take place in-house, allowing us to maintain quality and refine every detail before installation.
On-site, we manage installation and live delivery, overseeing logistics, programming, and technical operations to guarantee smooth execution. After the event concludes, we handle de-rig and storage, providing a complete end-to-end service that ensures consistency, reliability, and creative excellence.
We are one of the only UK-based companies that own and operate all the equipment we design. This allows our teams to understand technical capabilities fully and push creative boundaries. Today, our team of 40 project managers, lighting designers, and technicians operates from a 20,000 sq ft warehouse and office space in Wokingham, Berkshire.
“We don’t just install lights, we craft experiences that people remember.”
